Christmas

Christmas Eve phone call

I loved being able to talk with David on Christmas eve.  Michael and Sara joined us through speaker phone.

Some of the things that I learned from David:

2 sets of Elders and 1 set of sisters in Mokpo.
They use TP for everything--that is what they use as a napkin
Deliver any kind of food, not just pizza.
It takes them about 1/2 hour to get to the church.  It is 2 floors.  Upstairs is chapel and large room.  There is 1 building in Mokpo.
He fell on the ice and got a bruise the size of a tomato on his rear.

For Christmas eve, we always do finger foods, so this is David's version of that.  Along with cabbage salad.

Elder Aoyagi

Elder Koichi Aoyagi of the 2nd quorom of the Seventy and his wife Shiroko Aoyagi came to Korea to give a training to all the missionaries.  Elder Aoyagi's Training was translated from Japanese to Korean.  The theme of the meeting was, "missionaries from the Book of Mormon," but he also talked about the love of God, and spiritual self-reliance.
